This July 4th weekend will be a special one for IndyCar and NASCAR as they will share a track on the same weekend for the first time ever, it makes it more special that they will be sharing the weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway due to the historic value to the track. The two top American Motorsports companies say that this is the future of auto racing. On the 4th of July Holiday the IndyCar group will take the track racing on the Indianapolis Road Course for the Indianapolis Grand Prix at 11:00 AM on NBC, NASCAR will have their turn as the Xfinity Series will race on thr Road Course of Indianapolis for the Pennzoil 150 at the Brickyard at 2:00 PM on NBC after the IndyCar series race. The NASCAR Cup series will end the triple header on July 5th with the Big Machine Hand Sanitizer 400 at Indianapolis at 3:00 PM on NBC.
