The Cumberland County Board of Education has voted to move forward with starting school on time. Students will return to the classroom on Wednesday, August 5th with school dismissing at 10 a.m. as is usual on the first day of school. The board also approved an option for virtual classes, however, applications for online learning must be returned to Central Services by Wednesday, July 29th. Masks or face coverings will be mandated for teachers, staff and students. For in-person students, parents are asked to keep children at home if they have a fever over 100.4 or exhibit any symptoms of COVID-19.
