Sunday, July 26, 2020 Over 3,100 New COVID-19 Cases Statewide

More than 3,100 new cases of coronavirus were reported in a single day statewide on Sunday, July 26, 2020. The total COVID-19 case count for Tennessee is now 93,936 (an increase of 3,140 from Saturday’s count) including 967 deaths (up 3), 4,244 hospitalizations (up 48)and 54,730 recovered (up 922).
-Two more people have died in Putnam County, bringing their COVID-19 death toll to 11. As of Sunday, July 26, 2020, Putnam County has 409 active cases and 1,361 positive cases and 11 deaths.
-Roane County has recorded its first death from novel coronavirus and Roane County’s active COVID-19 cases have more than doubled in a week, up from up from 60 on Sunday, July 19th to 135 active cases on Sunday, July 26, 2020; 230 positive cases and 94 recovered.
-Rhea County which also has 1 official COVID-19 death has 132 active cases, 444 positive cases and 311 recovered. Rhea County’s first death was a nurse. The doctor is also sick and the doctor’s office has been closed.
-Cumberland County COVID-19 Update for Sunday, July 26, 2020: 103 active cases (up 10 from Saturday);300 positive cases (+10); 23 hospitalizations (up 0); 191 recovered (+0) and 6 deaths officially reported.
