Crooks took advantage of a Greenville man’s misfortune when they burglarized his car after it broke down on I-40 in Cumberland County. The victim told Sheriff’s deputies that he broke down at the 323 mile marker and walked to the Peavine Road exit. While he was gone to get help, crooks stole two tv’s, a Playstation 4, an XBOX One, video games, car stereo, air conditioner, clothing, the victim’s SSI Debit Card and his ID. The preliminary estimate of the items was listed at $2,300. Police did not immediately identify any suspects in the case.
