The first of two tax-free holiday weekends starts at one minute after midnight tonight (Thursday, July 30, 2020). This weekend focuses on back-to-school items. From 12:01 a.m. on Friday, July 31 through Sunday, August 2, clothing, art and school supplies costing less than $200 per item and computers, tv’s and other electronics costing less than $3,000 per item may be purchased tax fee. Certain price restrictions apply. The second tax-free holiday weekend in Tennessee focuses on restaurant sales. It begins at 12:01 a.m. on August 7 and ends Sunday, August 9 at 11:59 p.m.
