Last week Nashville’s Mayor John Cooper attempted to shut down party buses and barges that serve alcohol in Music City in an attempt to halt the spread of COVID-19. Such so-called transpotainment businesses immediately spotted the loophole in the Mayor’s Public Health Order and simply stopped serving alcohol while continuing to operate. On Friday, that loophole was closed and now all transpotainment vehicles, even those that could operate under the previous order, must cease operations until August 16. Nashville restaurants must also close dine-service at 10 p.m. until August 16.
