The Tennessee Highway Patrol reports that a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle on I-40 in Cumberland County late Wednesday night. It happened at the westbound 328 mile marker near the rest area. The interstate was shut down in the area until around 6 a.m. Thursday. The THP did not immediately release the victim’s name.
