Cumberland County Mayor Allen Foster announced on Friday that he will be in self-quarantine after a family member with whom he has had close contact tested positive for COVID-19. Mayor Foster says that both he and his relative are asymptomatic, however, he will do the responsible thing and work from home per quarantine quidelines.
Active COVID-19 cases in Cumberland County increased by 36 on Saturday and 7 more on Sunday, bringing Sunday’s active cast total to 180. (8/9/2020). Positive cases went up by 7 to 457, hospitalizations are at 30; 271 recovered (+0) and 6 deaths officially reported (+0).
