Officials say two people were seriously injured when an explosion happened while their boat was docked at a marina in East Tennessee. News outlets cited a statement from the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency that said crews responded to Blue Springs Marina on Watts Bar Lake Saturday evening after small explosions were reported on moored vessels. The statement said there was significant damage to the dock and six vessels, two of which sank. Officials say a married couple from Monroe County were injured by an explosion in their engine hatch and flown to the University of Tennessee Medical Center. Authorities continue to investigate what happened. The incident remains under investigation.
