South Carolina Woman Charged with Contraband in a Penal Institution in Tennessee

Officers with the Cumberland County say they received a phone call from a female named Kember Martin. They stated she sounded to be under the influence or very confused. An officer discovered she was at the 325 I-40 East Rest Area. The officer then went and located Ms. Martin and was suspected of being under the influence of methamphetamine. Kember Martin also stated she had a marijuana crusher in her purse. Kember was then place under arrest for public intoxication. Ms. Martin was transported to the Cumberland County Justice Center where she was asked several times if she had anything illegal on her person and she stated no. While being booked in the jail corrections officers found a Crown Royal bag with baggies with crystal substance and another with a Phone SIM card and residue on her person. The officer also located 13 multi-colored pills in a cellophane wrapper which appeared to be ecstasy MDMA. There was also a silver pipe type straw with pill residue. Kember Martin was then charged with Felony Possession of Ecstasy, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Contraband in a Penal Institution along with Public Intoxication.
