Some customers at McMinnville Electric System are seeing a new twist on a phone call scam.
According to Marketing Manager Debbie Sain a customer got a call from a number identified as 931-265-2935 and informed them they can receive $50 in free electricity and a cheap monthly bill going forward. The customer hung up. Sain advises others to just hang up when they receive this call.
