The administration of Cumberland County High School is excited to announce the hiring of Tyler McWilliams as the new head coach of the Lady Jets Basketball Team. Coach McWilliams was selected from among an outstanding candidate pool. His knowledge of the Upper Cumberland area and his basketball IQ are two of the things that brought him to the forefront.
Coach McWilliams has literally grown up on a basketball court. Both his mother and father are head coaches at Upperman High School where he has also been on the Lady Bees basketball staff since 2014. During this short period of time the Upperman Lady Bees have won two state championships and have one state runner-up finish.
Coach McWilliams is married to Kristen McWilliams, they have two children: Grayson and Weston. Coach stated that he and his family are excited to move to the area and become an active part of our community. He is in the process of building his staff and will be meeting with the team very soon.
McWilliams will replace Radhika Miller, who recently accepted the head coaching position at Windermere Preparatory School in Windermere, Florida.
