Tennessee saw an increase of 3,088 COVID-19 cases on Friday, July 31, 2020, making it the third highest one-day case count since the pandemic began. That brings the statewide total positive case count to 105,959, which includes 1,060 deaths, up 27 deaths from Thursday. Hospitalizations increased by 89 to 4,661. Recoveries went up by 2,123 to 66,357.
In Cumberland County on Friday, active cases rose slightly to 129. Positive cases increased by 9 to 365 and both hospitalizations and deaths remained the same at 23 and 6 respectively.
Roane County’s active case count rose by more than three dozen since Wednesday to 195 on Friday. The positive case count when up by almost 60 in less than two days to 330. Recoveries are at 134.
