Cumberland County students will be attending the First Day Of School as previously scheduled on Wednesday, August 5th, with school dismissing at 10 a.m. that day. However, the First Full Day of school has been pushed back to the following week on Wednesday, August 12th. The Cumberland County Board of Education approved the moving of in-service days to allow additional time for teachers to prepare for virtual classes. Director Of Schools Dr. Ina Maxwell reports 936 applications for online classes have been submitted with a second window of registration planned. For Virtual Students, your orientation meeting will be used as your attendance on August 5th. The following days, Sept. 25th, Jan. 5th, and April 19th are all days students must now attend school.
