The THP has released the name of the pedestrian killed on I-40 late Wednesday night. Trooper William Morgan reports that a pickup truck driven Richard Dennis Dell Turner, age 52, of Evansville, Indiana broke down near the westbound 326 miler marker. Mr. Turner was standing outside of the truck when it began to roll eastbound in the westbound lane. Another pickup truck traveling westbound was struck by the rolling truck but managed to come to a controlled stop near the 327 rest area off-ramp. As the truck continued to roll Mr. Turner was fatally hit by his own truck, which then ran off the road and into a ditch. The other driver, Jason Curry, age 50, of Nashville was not injured. The interstate was shut down in the area until around 6 a.m. Thursday.
