A California man was fortunate not to be hurt after he lost control of his car in a heavy downpour on I-40. It happened around 9:30 Monday morning between the eastbound 333 and 334 mile markers. Trooper Jeremy Newcome reports that 22-year-old Benjamin Brocchini, of Rocklin, California, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado when he lost control in the heavy rain, spun to the left shoulder and hit the cable barrier. Brocchini was wearing a seatbelt and was not hurt in the accident, which tied up traffic in the area for several hours.
