The Cumberland County Commission has failed to pass a resolution regulating noise from motor vehicle racing in the county. Cumberland County Mayor Allen Foster notes the resolution was intended to regulate public and private racetracks by placing noise restrictions on them. The resolution proved to be quite controversial and, after much discussion, was sent back to the Environmental Committee for more discussion in a 11-7 vote.
