A Crossville man arrested for leading police on a high speed chase claims he knows where Sasquatch is. An Officer attempted to stop an S-10 pickup truck for speeding on Miller Avenue but says the driver, 39-year-old Joseph Weslyn Warren, refused to stop and sped up to 75 miles per hour. Mr. Warren then turned onto 127 South and was driving over 90 miles per hour when he cut off all the vehicle’s lights and continued to Old Highway 28. The officer terminated the pursuit just before the entrance of East Valley Road. With the assistance of a Sheriff’s Deputy, Warren and his passenger, 30-year-old Kerri Miller, were picked up after they abandoned the truck and tried to flee on foot. Mr. Warren told the Officer he did not stop because he wanted to prove he could out run a patrol car and he also wanted to prove he knew where Sasquatch is. Ms. Miller was taken into custody for Evading On Foot. Mr. Warren was charged with Felony Evading Arrest and issued a citation for speeding 75mph in a 40 mph zone.
