A Crossville woman faces a host of charges after she allegedly hit her boyfriend with a car during a domestic dispute. On Friday, August 21, 2020 police were dispatched to Natchez Trace to a call of a pedestrian hit by a car. The male victim was later discovered at a residence on Apache Trail bleeding from his arm, leg and shoulder. The victim told authorities that his girlfriend, 55-year-old Susan Denise Stokes, had hit him with a Dodge Dart as he was standing in his cousin’s yard on Muskogee Lane. The victim said he was knocked out of his shoes and he ran into the woods to keep Ms. Stokes from hitting him again with her car. When he emerged from the woods on Natchez Trace, Ms. Stokes reportedly tried to hit him with her car several more times. Deputies caught up with Stokes at Davidson Court where she was taken into custody. Ms. Stokes has been charged with Felony Aggravated Assault, Evading Arrest and Resisting Arrest. Bond was set at $16,000.
