COVID-19 Kills Two More In Putnam County

The total COVID-19 case count for Tennessee is 147,353 as of Wednesday, August 26, 2020 (up 1,936) including 1,648 deaths (up 20); 6,603 hospitalizations (up 88); and 109,765 recovered (up 1,730).
-Two more people have died from COVID-19 in Putnam County bringing their death toll to 26. The active case count for Wednesday is 578, with 2,226 positive cases.
-According to the Putnam County Schools COVID-19 Dashbord, on Wednesday, August 26, 2020, the school district reported 33 confirmed cases of coronavirus, up 6; with 444 in quarantine, up 47.
-On Wednesday, August 26, 2020, the Fentress County School District COVID-19 Dashbord reported 192 students had been placed in quarantine, an increase of 33 from Tuesday. 18 faculty and staff members are in quarantine, up 8 from Tuesday.
-On Wednesday, August 26, 2020, the Rhea County School District COVID-19 Dashbord reported that 5 students have tested positive for coronavirus and 0 employees, down 1.
-Cumberland County’s Active Case Count is 332, up 17 from Tuesday. Positive cases are 747, up 35 from Tuesday. The death toll is at 8 officially. Recoveries are 407, up 18 from Tuesday.
-As of Wednesday, August 26, 2020, the Tennessee Department Of Health reported that Cumberland County had 74 school-age children had tested positive for COVID-19, an increase of 8. Of that number, 28 have tested positive for coronavirus in the last 14 days, an increase of 5.
